I had to turn around last night due to the wash out on Carroll rd, it was a 4 foot gap 3 ft deep with a tree across. Crazy water damage.

I would have stuck around longer but I sort of promised the wife I would take her to see PawPaw tunnel. I didn't realize it was a 40ish minute drive to PawPaw. Then we went to Buddylou's in Hancock. We just got home. We had a great time today even though the wheeling trip was sort of short. C'ya next time.

P.S. I drove by this place called Berkeley Castle. Looked pretty cool. Going to research it.

You was near me. Low Line rd. Is a gravel/dirt muddy road just down the road from the Paw Paw Tunnel. It's across from the Liberty Gas station. That road follows along side the Potomac and brings you to the road that comes up the mountain I'm on. Paw Paw is just about 15 minutes from me. I ride my SxS down there to fuel up.

 

Awesome! Yes, I was really close. So, when did the little ice cream & pizza/sandwich shop across from Liberty close? I liked that place.

 

Late last year. I miss it too. Next time your in that area let me know, you can stop up for a cold beverage. A pic of Low Line rd.

In your picture it looks like the bolt backed out. A failure of that big ass bolt in double shear seems less likely (not impossible) than failure of the ball joint of the UCA itself.

 

I have these 3rd Gen parts laying around my garage. Just in case anyone needs them following the damage that happened at GR today.

 

Check the specs last week, dont know what happened. Lol

Nope not yet stuck up in PA. Going up next weekend to get the bolt replaced. Im goijg to upgrade these bolts to a grade 8.

 

Well shit. I hope you were at least doing something crazy and not just driving around a parking lot. Makes for a better story.

If i had known in the morning, that you guys wanted to go there we could have set you up where you could run Green Ridge Road or Oldtown Orleans Road to rt51 Eastbound and it would’ve taken you to Paw paw in 20-25 minutes
