Grab some saran wrap or a plastic bag and shove it in the diff, and try again.

I have worked in the Operating Room for 15 years. I knew a surgical instrument would get the job done.

I think it’s always safe to have at least one clamp around. You just never know what you could use it for. The ability to lock the jaws is super handy.

this totally happen to me when I changed my bushing and accidentally dropped it inside diff! Gladly I did exactly what you did being an ICU nurse, inserting a solid copper fire coming in from the top while feeding it inside the drain plug with a hemostat and insert the wire on the middle hole of the removal tool end and then easily just pull from the top! hallelujah sigh of relief

I'm late to the party but glad you got it out! I fussed with mine for a few hours rotating the axle/gears and prodding at the piece until it came out. Crisis averted!

    I’m still at it.

My issue now is the center bolt rotates with the outside nut when I’m tightening it. Everything is lined up perfect, did it quite a few times the same, everything is dead on, the center bolt still spins. Even tried double nutting it. Wtf

I'm sure you have it set up correctly, but just in case, you have the flanged nut on the puller oriented correctly? If so thats a weird issue, mine pulled straight out once I cranked on the nut. Could you possibly put a screwdriver in there to tension it, or towel/innertube and vice grip the bolt?

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
That was my thought. Wrap end with electrical tape and hold with channel locks/pliers just enough to get it started.

Yeah, I tried vice grips on the end of the center bolt with a towel wrapped around so don’t damage the threads, still spins
