LED bulbs suck. Don't do it. On top of that you'll void your warranty putting ANY LED or HID bulb in per their terms. If you're fine with that I'd suggest a quality HID kit for the best performance if you want a white look. Go 4500k or slightly above for an OEM look. 6000k is what you often see but that has more of a blue hue which also costs you light output.

    I have these lights

    The good:
    No condensation at all
    Look good
    DRLs

    The bad:
Light output is crap (I tried super expensive LEDs, no good, currently running 55w HIDs with OK results, but I use LED spotlight pods to see at night if its dark to make up for the crappy light output.
The high beam cutoffs aren't exactly straight, leaving for a kinda off jagged look.

If I could do it again Id just retrofit OEMs with a high quality projector from somewhere else...

Where can you find these with a smoked lens? Picture is from tacomabeast.com

Edit: looks like tacomabeast doesnt list any lens options but protuninglab has different lens variations inluding smoked, although their 30 day warranty is a joke.

For anyone wondering, Spyder does sell these lights on eBay as themselves under OEMassive and DTMoto.

But I would still go with TacomaBeast.

I have had mine for about 6 months now and no complaints here! The only thing I did precautionary was run a good bead of clear silicone around the edge. I am running Retrofit Source 5500K/35W and the Morimoto LED foglights. The light output from this combo is amazing!

Well, after trying 2 different H1 HID kits in the 05-11 version, I'm back to the halogen bulbs. The HID were way brighter, but because the bulbs were much longer, they are positioned in the projector at the wrong spot, and the pattern was awful. Nearly completely unusable. If anyone can recommend an LED that they have used with the 05-11 with success, let me know. I may actually try some higher wattage halogens, and see what that gets me. Seems this is a common issue with H1 PnP projectors. I may eventually retrofit some different projectors into these, but that was the whole reason I originally bought these, was so I wouldn't have to tear a set apart.

On a related note, look at these guys. Looking at the back, it appears that the one side (the side with the reflector) does not actually have a bulb in it. There are no wires to it and the back side appears to be covered over.

WTF? I need some help here.

That's a different headlight housing than the one in this thread.

That being said, it appears as though the H4 harness splits and goes into the low beam (blue/black wires) and then next to it for the high beam (red/black wires) and then probably connects to the bulb directly inside of the housing. The housings in this thread do something similar but enter the housing at a slightly different location so as long as you're going through the housing and connecting to the bulb it doesn't really matter where that entry point happens. The small circle is the rubber dust boot and the two bolts are the vertical and horizontal adjustments.

Again, this is all guessing since the housing you posted is NOT the same one that's been discussed through this entire thread. In an effort to avoid further confusion I would suggesting find a discussion of that headlight housing specifically for your questions and discussion.
