I went out looking for something dispersed but ended up at Brushy Lake. I’d recommend it in the fall, but that campground is in a little bowl of humidity and mosquitoes. A lot of promising-looking forest roads were closed off with dirt berms.

Don’t have the precise weight for my option set, but the camper is about 750 lb dry. It’s got a 25 gallon water tank, add in the random gear, it’s probably nearly 1100 fully-laden. Benefit is ease of removal - if I need my truck I just hook up the legs, release a few bolts, and drive off.

I must say the worst part of having kids is thinking youll get to do something only for those plans to go to shit! Baby girl's first week of daycare was last week, and baby girl's first sickness was last week and this past weekend. Other than about 3 hours that she slept in the car while the wife and I went car shopping for her, it was nothing but taking care of her. I didn't mind it at all but it was really a buzzkill of not getting anything done that I wanted. I managed to get 1 door done of sound proofing last week then just got too busy to get anything else done, not to mention it was just damn hot last week/weekend. Hopefully with this cold front coming in later this week I will have some me time to work on some things.

We should have prepared you for that! Their little systems aren’t prepared for what all they get exposed too. Both my kids got sick the first week. After that they are good to go!

Welcome to parenthood. May this week be better. I learned long ago that the best laid out plans can and most likely get change when you have kids. Try to have backup plans.

Yea A-holes, where was the prepare for this speech!?!?! Haha, jk, no worries at all. That's what our doc said that this would happen about ever 1-2 weeks for about the first 5-6 months until her immune system really starts to kick in. Like I said, it didn't bother me at all to take care of her, I enjoyed it really....except for the few times of not being able to calm her down and make her feel better....those little moments are crushing!

Yea, we made the best of it for what we could. Did get the wife to drive a few different vehicles Saturday afternoon so we at least made progress on that front.

Oh it gets even better. Wait for the ear infections and all that goodness. Mine had 18 of them in a year before they put tubes in his ears.
