@JimboAnz new to the scene, just changed my UCAS last month, had no idea that was an issue, thanks for the heads up. I’ll add it to my preventative maintenance list.

or locktight them suckers. if they are installed the way they came out, they cannot fall out even if the nut comes off. when installed backwards, if nut falls off, gravity may take over, and it may slide out. just a heads up. always need to check nuts / bolts on a regular basis

@JimboAnz Good stuff, good eye, I see what you’re talking aboutnow, fortunately I Installed the bolt the same way it came out. Even so, I’ll still keep an eye on it! Appreciate the feedback! Was talking to some buddyies Chandler and Gary up in the St. Louis area this past weekend, and they mentioned they went wheeling with you at some point. Small world.

In general yes. There might be some metal hammering to be done as well. If you're way back in the wheel well you'll need to do a cab mount chop.

I HOPE that won’t be an issue after adding lift. Currently, it doesn’t rub.

Depends on geometry. Mine doesn't rub during normal operation but I get some rubbing at full stuff in a turn.

What size would that be on a 16” wheel? Or are you talking about a 17” wheel?

Toyos are a lot heavier and a bit overkill for these trucks

Tried to read a lot of this thread but didn't see my exact question asked, so my apologies if this has already been asked.

I have an 2nd Gen 2014 SR5 w/ stock suspension and am looking at switching to stock 2018 TRD OR rims [16x7].
I know I can mount these rims on my 2014, my question is can I run 255/85/r16 tires on my stock SR5 suspension w/out rubbing or trimming required?
Anyone who has this set up who can provide some info and pics would be great. Thanks in advance for any help/knowledge.

it is buried in here, but a guy got away with 255/80R17 on stock trd sport rims and suspension. He ran it for a couple weeks till his lift came in. So I say its doable just brace yourself for the chance of rubbing at extreme lock and bump (no mobbing over speed bumps). Def will have to ditch the front mudflaps, or heat gun and flatten/trim them.

really 265/75R16 (265/70r17) is the only size that you can run on stock suspension, probably could get away with 255/75R17 as well.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if that was a 2nd gen or 3rd gen by chance?
Hopefully someone who has some first hand experience of the 2nd gen set up I am looking at will see this and chime in.

What's going on here? Is that a stock Sport with 255s?

Eibach coils up front and the rear leafs were upgraded from 3 leaf to 4 leaf by toyota. That’s it. Stock control arms. The tires barely fit... but they fit!

2008 Tacoma PreRunner with billy's set at the top perch that gives about a 2.5" lift upfront is paired with 17" FN Pro wheels with a 0 offset.

Does anyone know if 255/80/17 Cooper STT Maxxs will fit without doing the cmc?
