Took my 3yr old son out for a bike ride. Sure is fun and nerve racking at the same time. He is already hauling around and scaring me. Funny he is a little version of me that I worry will get hurt but I don’t worry about hurting myself haha.

How are you holding that hardtail in place? Is there a fork mount down there somewhere? Any chance you have a picture of whats going on?

Are road bikes welcome here too?

Wife and I went to Santa Monica and rode along the strand.

Sold my Pivot Mach 6 for $2300 and bought this 2017 Evil the Following. XTR/XT with Fox. Just needs a crank/chain and brake bleed (and tires soon).

    I only paid $1500 :D

I rode that Specialized and the comparable Scott Scale. It wasn't even close. The Scott fork is so much more comfortable.

I'm pretty stoked about the deal I got. I'm sinking another ~$350 at the LBS and then she will be ready to roll. So $1850ish for an Evil Following isn't that bad considering the frameset is selling for $2100 on Pinkbike right now

The Scale is also the slackest in the group, sometimes by a pretty big margin. The new Scale is 66.5 while the new Roscoe is 68.3.

I will admit, I’m riding a lot of pavement on the weekdays while I’m working in Houston, and the 2.8” tires are pretty sluggish when on concrete with 20 extra pounds that equates to Mr Henry Longtail, the wiener dog.

I’m probably going to go to the Ikon+ 2.8” on it when I wear the rekons+’s out for a little less weight and rolling resistance.

It’s just a rocky mount mounted down low. I used one of my side rails and cut it to fit between the wheel wells. I can fit my mtb’s like this with gate shut and not having to angle the bike. I still mount the road bike up high because the drop bars won’t clear the window. I used the drain holes to mount and I just prefer the bike down in the bed. It’s not too much of a hassle for me to secure the bike. I can do it from outside or in the bed.

oh nice. I have fork mounts attached to the front bed rail for my road bikes. I'm weighing different options for my mountain bike, since its a through axle, like yours, so I'm not sure I want to take the front wheel off. First world problem...

expanded the bike carrying capacity of the taco. snagged two rockymounts for 75 bucks this morning. now up to 4 bikes with the hitch rack, and the bed is still easily accessible with the racks fully loaded. 8xvBFFra5l-PX_bcsx2I7u8N8ILM8xqfSVz6XzUL_eba90e9fd4188c15dcb5a21d47a76a9028ea1f73.jpg
