    Hi!

Finally my wife agreed to go with me on a couple trails yesterday and she was more concerned about the height of my truck than i was.

So while the iron is hot and before i hit buy on the parts below am i missing anything? Ive read on other threads that some people had to get driver side spacers to even things out, is that the case 100% of the time?

My goal for the truck is to maintain a good balance between on-road and off-road. I also wanted to maintain the factory rake look of the truck.

Does anyone have any strong opinions for or against the parts below?

    Thanks!

Tires will be AT KO2 275/70/16

I'm looking at a similar setup. Would maybe consider the ELO96 if you are going to have weight in the bed (shell, camping gear) and can take out the extra overload if its too stiff.

The 5160 rear shocks are cheaper on Amazon.

I’d order an OME spring, pre assembled on a 5100 shock through wheelers off-road or headstrong off road, to make installation easier.

You’re also gonna need bushings for the Dakar’s, so I’d price check with wheelers or headstrong before eBay too.

I just went through a purchase with eBay for a set of Dakars because I had a coupon, only reason. I'd give headstrong a message on everything for a great deal and free shipping for everything you need. I will also say if you do go your original route I'd give headstrong a shout for a flip kit, ubolts, bushings, and bumpstops while you're at it!

I have the same setup. Got about 2.5" after the installation on both front and Back. I went with Medium Dakars and installed ICON DJ UCAs. It's been a great ride so far. I have a new bumper and sliders on the way and will need to see how it does with the additional weight, but so far, very happy.

I take that back.. Didn’t realize the 6112 are larger diameter than 5100.

I do recommend getting them assembled tho

Looks Great! Do i need UCA's with this setup or is it just a nice to have? Did you have to adjust the driver side for any lean?

A lot of places aren’t gonna have 6112 in stock. National backorder

If you’re going past 3 notch, you’ll more than likely need UCAs

Mine are 2nd gen Bilstein 6112/5160s. TexasTacoma173 is right in saying that you won't be able to find 3rd gen Bilsteins anywhere. The difference is negligible. 2nd gen have a 5 ring max and 3rd gen have a 6 ring max and are valved slightly softer. Other than that, no real differences. You can find 2nd gens anywhere and I wouldn't sweat getting them over the 3rd gens. A buddy has 3rd gen 6112/5160s and I can't feel any difference in drive. He can't feel any difference in mine either. They will work great. I'm set up at a 5/4 setup for taco lean and got the UCA as a nice to have. I figure if you're going to do it, do it right up front. I had the money for nice UCAs now and when I feel like going to Kings, ADS or Fox, I can without having to worry about that cost with the UCAs at the same time.

Rogue-Offroad (702)907-DIRT (3478) has 3rd Gen 6112s in stock and ready to ship. Just spoke with them a few minutes ago.
