No need to defend yourself. This happens every time it's revealed someone young is buying a new Tacoma. I'll tell you from experience negotiating through the interwebs can remove the risk of being treated unfairly because of age. They'll never be the wiser until you show up to drive it home.

Hey,do you man. If that's what you want and you know you can afford it..fuck it,why not? Life is short.

But what I will say is,coming from a 25 year old trying to get my ass out of debt..careful what you end up getting and from where. Just because you CAN afford something doesn't mean you should settle.

Like it's been stated..offer what is fair to you and if they take it..gravy. If not..tell em to suck a big toe and keep it pushin to the next dealership.

    Oh,and welcome to TW :hattip:

This is a ridiculous comment. Pretty clear who the 'kid' is in this exchange.

I'm in the process of getting a TRD Off Road and almost all the colors except black and inferno are super hard to get and I heard someone getting one for 2-3k over MSRP just for that color. Mean while I'm getting a good price and great trade in on my truck but I have to get an inferno, not my first choice but I don't mind if I'm saving a ton of money. Saving around 2k from what the other dealerships offered me. These trucks are just way too popular and everyone wants one.

ok so idk if i mentioned that im friends with the owner of a chevy/cadillac dealership but i spoke to him and he told me to bring him that paperwork and hell take care of it. he just got back to me saying the owner of the toyota dealer isnt there today so hes gonna get ahold of him tommorow and straighten things out. or at least try to. hopefully they take the 2 grand off and it works out. if they dont then im gonna do what a lot of u said and go tell him to fuck him self and leave a horrible review. but i really appreciate the help from everyone. especially the jealous ones :brianr:

Assuming he's a trust fund kid that hasn't worked for his possessions is pretty arrogant. Its not rocket science to bust your ass early In life to afford nice things if your not a lazy piece of shit.

They aren't giving you the run around because you're 21. I'm 38 and those bastids still give me the run around. I think you have to reach 65 before they start bending over backwards for you.

As a ~30 year old who's grinded my adult life away working for corporate america, I now see young 20 somethings working some outside sales job making 2 to 4 times what i make selling things. I know he already answered what he does but there will always be someone out there doing better than you. Dont judge or assume. Sometimes makes me wish I did an alternate career path out of college.

    Only on cars .....
Find a vehicle offer what you want, they will take it or they won’t . If not move on if they do yay !
There are a bunch of folks on here that paid the price plus mark up for being a specialty item.
Others got them for MSRP, my lil bro got one for 1000 over invoice.
There is one in fort Scott KS at Briggs ghey will sell for MSRP or less .
Just like any business the dealer can ask what they want.
None of them are in danger of going out of business because you did not buy from them.
And someone will pay what the dealer wants.
I recently bought a Jeep for my wife. The local dealer wanted 3995 over MSRP plus the suspension tires and wheels were high in my opinion.
I bought the same Jeep for $500 over and a fair price for the extras she wanted.
I did not get mad at the first dealer.
I checked and they sold they’re Jeep also. Good for them!!! Capitalism is great

Any dealer will sell at a discount if they are in the business of selling vehicles.

My local Toyota dealership adds about $10,000 to the price of the Pro. They claim it's due to how rare they are, that each dealership only gets 4 per year. They sold the last one they had for $54,000. I bought the Off Road for $34K + tax. I figured shocks aren't work another $20,000.
