    Anyone else just see Tacomabeast's Instagram story about these new style tail lights for the 05-15? They're on their website as well. Black or black/smoke. They look pretty legit for aftermarket and I'm enjoying their 12-15 headlights and have had absolutely no issues with those over the last year. I also like how these lights keep the amber signal.

    Thoughts?

    Why does their website say not compatible for trucks with factory led taillights? I'm not afraid of wiring but for $240 I expect a compatible wire harness option

    I was confused by that as well, but I ordered some today and I'll report back. I went with the black/smoke version.

    I received mine on Saturday and installed them yesterday. You have to use the existing wiring harness from your OEM lights. Swapping the harness over is pretty straight forward. The whole process took maybe 10 minutes. Everything works as it should. Still confused as to why they state that it's not compatible with the factory LEDs. My truck is a '12 with the OEM LEDs and everything was straight forward.

    I purchased the tinted lens version. Overall I'm very satisfied with them so far. Granted, the tint takes away some of the output, but these are bright and stylish. My only complaint is that the reverse lights suck. I tried them with the stock incandescent bulb and the LED bulbs that I had. Both suck, so I'll have to look at other options. The "reflector" part is a matte black, so not much light reflects off of them. Maybe some Morimotos. I'll take some pics tonight of the output. In the mean time, this is the photo I took at work today.

    They should work with every tacoma from 2005-2015. I have installed 2012 led tails on my 2005. Why they put that disclaimer on there is strange. Different from anything I have read on TW.

    They will work. I have had the stock pink oem brakes, 2012 leds, Depo black leds, and finally the led tube tail lights. All have worked with zero issues.

    I still haven't figured out the disclaimer. If you look at the stock photos, there's no wiring harness with the lights. You have to use your OEM wiring harness because if you look closely the plugs that come out of the light fit into the bulb sockets, then those sockets turn into the new lights just like normal.
