There's quite a few over there. We have quite a slug of them here. Bard is just on the otherside of the river and just as many on this side. There's a wide spot in the road on I-8 east of here called Dateland.

Have been wondering how you made out, I've gone through a similar process Martin. My A1C was OK even though I bumped up the carbs but my triglycerides were high. But they have always been high unless I basically do Atkins induction with 20 or less grams a day of carbs. And any more that seems to suck the energy and life right out of me though. Good luck! I'm not sure what the answer is and was hoping you would have one for me. We seem to process food about the same. And more than a few thoughts too LOL.

I like Polk towers and centers. Their subs are great bang for the buck IMO (bang = movie LFE) But I wanted low audio freq for music in addition to the LFE window rattling movie sound with adjustable crossovers. So went with Veloydyne on the sub. And a couple 25 lbs. bags of lead shot as vibration isolation between the two.

With the cost of lead anymore I should take the guns out of the safe and lock up the lead.

Funny you mention Atkins. Seems when I take in minimal to no carbs is when I really drop all the numbers. Like I mentioned before, I went into last year too light so I went into this summer a little heavier by taking in more carbs and more salt. So now I'm going to try to split the difference. The one thing I did equate with higher tri's is processed food. That was one of the things that also has more salt, but it also has the other bad stuff too.

So, knock down to the equivalent of about 25-30 carbs a day, knock out the most processed food and minimal cheese.

So I'm going back to more fresh, kinda lean meats more vegetables and not add tables salt. Just not be so strict.

The doc was pretty funny actually. He looked at the labs and talked about increasing meds till I reminded him of the last visit about meeting with the dietician and increasing intakes. So I pretty much ran this visit. I told him what we're going to do. When he said increase the cholesterol meds I agreed because, having the big 3, something has to give. A person would live a very bad existance and be sick the majority of the time if I tried to tailor my diet to meet the needs of all 3. I'm going back in 90 days to do another set of labs for my benefit just to try to finally get it dialed in and find that happy medium.

I've always been a fan of Klipsch speakers and Harman Kardon amps, at least their older stuff. I don't know how they are now.

Grapes are about ready to be picked. Vine is a starting from my Grandfathers original vine. Lots of memories and emotions with these grapes. Amanda was picking tomatoes tonight as the 'wind' whizzed several grapes past her. Good thing the 'wind' did not hit her white Penn state shirt....
