I should have my 3rd gen by then.... I may be down for this depending on if my folks are coming into town that weekend or not. We'll see... But I was hoping to get out and play around a bit after buying a Tacoma and before having to leave again.

 

Even if they are, it will only take a couple hours top out of your day and a perfect place to break in the 3rd gen. do you already have a dealer that youre working with?

 

I have talked to a sales guy at both Koons Tyson, Koons Westminster and Sheehy Stafford... My plan of action is to hit up those 3 as well as Miller in Manassas. Use each as leverage to get the best deal... really it comes down to who is going to give me the most for my current truck because I imagine all dealers are going to be ready to play ball trying to get rid of '18 inventory prior to 19's arriving. I definitely plan on buying before September 4th and taking advantage of the 1.9% financing.

 

Very nice, i pitted Koons tysons against a place down in VA Beach when i was still living down there. And then also used the vehicle that Koons had posted on Car Gurus to get them to honor a certain price. Overall I got a good deal on mine they werent as thrilled though that I showed up with outside financing and when i dropped that bomb and told them they couldnt run my credit they were butthurt but oh well. The sales guy was actually really cool, everyone else there was a dick though and I havent heard anything good about their Service Dept. I have been going to Ourisman in Fairfax for all the toyota care and warranty stuff.

 

that sounds great... my buddy w/ the stock 3rd gen and 4Runner are going to be taking theirs off road for the first time ever!

 

I bought mine at Koons Westminster.... paid $34,099 for my truck..... maybe you can use that as a bargaining tool

 

Yea, I am hoping to get a good deal. The guy from Tysons outright said on the phone he'd beat anyone else's prices when I told him plan was to visit 4 different stealerships and buy wherever gave me the best deal... So we'll see.. Hopefully have a new Tacoma in less than 2 weeks! I get home the 31'st and the haggling begins!

 

I saw your post previously about Westminster and that's why I added it to my list of dealerships... plus they have a decent inventory too.

 

If you have usaa or costco or something similar with a car buying service make sure to utilize that as well. If you have usaa, they have a car selling service too that i was unaware of until after i had already traded my truck.
