The Dakar pack has more droop so the extended shocks are needed. Not sure if you should run the standard length on these.

Hmmm haven’t tried that firm yet, since I moved to e rated tires, I tend to feel the road a bit more. Been running all soft and even tried 8 clicks from soft which I thought was too firm for the road. Might try this out up front, does it rebound too quick though and do you feel it??

I am trying different settings. For a long trip I would not run that firm on the road because you do feel the road much more. For in city driving I like the stiff setting.

Alright guys install going down tomorrow hopefully.. any last min tips or tricks or things that’d be helpful to have before needing to run to the store after the truck is torn apart??
Oh for front coils I have the standard straight (non T-handle) Spanner wrench.. if I need to adjust I’ve heard these suck and get blocked by the resi hose? I’m planning on cutting down a Harbor Freight punch so I can nudge it along if needed, that seems to be the way to go? 5/16”? I need to read back and find that post unless someone knows which size works

    Edit: 5/16 works, thanks @timklb !

:) just put some painters tape or something around it so you dont get any scratches on your locking collar, if you care about that sort of thing.

Cant remember anything out of the ordinary with the install. As long as you have a decent set of sockets, wrenches, torque wrench etc you should be good to go. Depending on your UCA, some of the King hoses are kinda "short" and tend to rub the UCA unless you have it in a particular orientation. When tightening down the reservoir, positioning for the least amount of interference with the hose helps a bit.

For sure. Most likely will loose oil when they are taken apart.

@Mike330R thanks boss, appreciate the feedback! Looking at deleting the OEM upper bump strike plate assembly. Using the eyeball test the mount for the hydro bumps will line up right there where the resi/mount sits. Thanks for the pic for reference.

For those running Dirt King heimed UCA's, be careful with the resi hoses. Per Dirt King, you'll need to rotate the elbow to allow for more clearance. I'm debating on sending both coilovers in to get the hoses changes and possibly add adjusters if the price is right....

Or does anyone know if it's easy to change the hoses and re pressurize?

@koloheboy id imagine you could source some nitrogen local for re-charging, that being said if you send them in for changes you could also upgrade to their stainless steel braided resi lines ad have them extended.

I think you're right. I also have an email into their service dept, so I'll post my options when they respond.

Did you have to do a shock relocation or anything other that just putting on springs and shocks? Who did you get them from? Im trying to figure out what to do with my truck but I don't want to weld and just want it to work well and look good. Thanks
