I feel like the equivalent to your warranty on your truck. I'm retiring in Oct. and all of the sudden i'm falling apart.

Told me the same. There's an invasive and non invasive way to check for blockage. But... they're pretty good at predicting what's going on, so my cardiologist advised that they might as well do the catheter angiogram, because if they find blockage, they're going to have to go in anyway. I ended up having multiple bad spots, most were cleaned out with the balloon, but for the big one (95% in the LAD, a.k.a. the widow maker) the angioplasty wasn't enough so they had to go back in with a stent. The thing is though, after a reasonable recovery time, I was back on the treadmill and running more than I could when I was 18. Big difference in performance, and the pain was gone.

Just curious...Did the " bad spots " ever show up on any scans before they went in ?

Occlusions. Plaque build up / narrow spots. That's what you take the stress test for. They make a good assessment based on the readings from being all wired up on the treadmill. Since you can't X-ray soft tissue, they either have to inject a solution in there that will allow the picture to show that, or they just go in. My pics are in this thread a couple days ago. My 7 yrs in England almost every cold I caught became a sinus infection. Not so bad here in AK; maybe half a dozen in 17 yrs.

Hope you feel better soon...get the antibiotics.

Oh yea Luckily She knew what she wanted. Had it narrowed down to three in week. It was a ton of travel last year each one was at least 4 hours a way. She picked one in Va.
