How often do you all lube the driveshaft slip joint? Do you have to disassemble it to grease it, or are there grease zerks?

I ask because part of the work I'm having done with my rear suspension install is adding a slip joint to the driveshaft.

Mine had three zerks on the rear shaft, and two on the front. I greased every 5k oil change. IIRC the prerunners may be different

Those are the u-joints. Prerunners don't have greasable u-joints. I installed greasable u-joints when I replaced mine earlier this year.

It’s never even crossed my mind to grease it. And I’ve never heard anyone on here mention greasing it. If you find anything lemme know

anyone ever drilled into their camper shell? I have a leer 100xr shell and it has what seems to be reinforcement on the top (theres a large area that is about 2/3 inches thick) that i was thinkning about sending some self tapping screws into, could this cause me any problems if i dont go all the way through? I am looking to hang a fabric molle pannel on my roof using 3m super 90 adhesive and some self tapping screws.

Nice man I just saw one a little bigger than that on post behind my house on sat night. I took my dog out and he was sniffing around and stopped and was just staring so I pulled out my flashlight and bam this huge buck was chilling with his doe hoe in the tall grass field behind my house. Looked huge and wasnt even bothered maybe 20 yds out. I wish I had a bow and a permit. They go right by my house all night I think it is part of their little trail to a few open field feeding grounds. Usually a group of 6-7 nice size does but first time I have seen the buck.

Drill to the outside of that reinforced area it is the honeycomb. that is also where you typically drill to run tracks.

If you could, take a pic. That large area sounds like standard honeycomb on toppers

this is the pannel, and then the roof/area where im looking to mount it. 2-3 inches was a little big of a guess.

Does anyone want a set of smittybilt molle seat covers? They are meant for a Jeep but I'm sure they would work for us. I got them free

I wouldn’t drill into that. AFAIK that’s the honey comb that makes the roofs so rigid. You could try some really thick glue and glueing it to the roof carpet.
