New Member - 2017 Hilux build

New member here, I moved to Barbados about a year ago with the US State Department. Before I even go there I had ordered and bought a 2017 Hilux (Mid-range) 3.0 D4D 4x4.

I'll be returning to Florida June 2019 and have decided to bring my Hilux back (On the Gov's Dime) to keep and build out. It's right-hand drive, but there are no restriction on bringing it back to FL.

I'll post another thread in HILUX section to lay out my build plans once back to FL.

Welcome to TW! How are you able to import that vehicle into the states. I've always heard that something with emissions makes it impossible.

Being a Diplomat has its perks, shipping is via the US Gov, it will make it back just fine.

Also, those are diplomatic plates on it I can drive/park anywhere and anyway I want (Not that I ever Abuse that), Cops can't attempt to pull me over to or even talk to me, but it does give you a bit of a power trip.

 

Ha ha gotcha. That's a sweet perk for sure.
