Took this to the dealership. They told me it’s not leaking and it’s not an issue so they didn’t do anything about it.

Should I try another dealership? Sorry op, not trying to jack your thread.

They should fix that. Toyota corporate just called me and my dealership is fixing it for the second time. Looks very similar to your pic.

Sign me up for some of the same Toyota crap. Had my OR done two months ago from weeping. Even tho I was told "Huh, that's not a recall vehicle for this recall or problem.". Well, jackass, you've got another problem then because it is weeping and it is under warranty and you will fix it. I had checked two weeks ago and yet again, even after the "fix" it is weeping again. I have an appointment Thursday so we will see how it goes!

I am no psychic, conspiracy theorist, or have any special intel, but I can’t tell you I think this is somewhat of a behind the scenes cover up deal.

My leak was very bad initially and I was never considered part of a widespread recall. How is that possible?

Mine was worse than most people covered in the recall. I think the numbers were downplayed so the general public didn’t get wind of the flaw and mess with sales numbers.

I could be wrong but someone please explain how someone wouldn’t be suspicious of this.

Yup, they told me my truck wasn’t part of the “recall” but they are aware of the leaks on the 3rd gen.

So what did they do on the first time you took your truck?

Was your leak actively leaking or was it just wet around the pumpkin?

Mine is “wet” around the pumpkin so Toyota didn’t do anything about it since it wasn’t “leaking” according to them

Mine was actively dripping a lot for the first time.

Now it’s just sleeping around every diff bolt. But they still said they would get it fixed.

    Took a few
If I didn't know any better I'd say you should take off your tinfoil hat...howeva...this is the 2nd Taco I have owned in 3 years so I believe the Toyota company to be deceitful. The first Taco was a 16 OR AT that had multiple problems including loss of power, oil leak at Cam tower, loss of transfer case and a bunch of smaller issues like the hood flex all within 5k miles. This one has had the clutch squeak issue, leaf springs, rear end weeping, smaller issues and the most current is I am seeing weeping again after a fix but also a bouncing at highway speeds and I just got it back from the shop two weeks ago where they said it was the tires out of balance...howeva...re-balancing didn't work. So I am at my wits end and not happy with the way they treat and deal with customers. If they did care, why didn't they mention the weeping when they did my tires two weeks ago? Why do I need to bring up all these issues again and again only to be told "that's how it was designed" and "performs to Toyota standards".
Full on suspicions my friend and most can be validated.

Got mine back from the 2nd fix. Keeping my fingers crossed it doesn’t return! Best of luck OP.
