Take the dealer the bill and reference the warranty. Sometimes they pay you back.

Got my Truck back last week... Been hearing noises and reverse felt funny. Finally got around to looking at it and found this. Before I call the dealer, should I expect them to replace the carrier bearing? They didn't replace it last time and I probably have 200 miles on it hanging like this.

Guess someone forgot to put a bolt in or just hand tightened it. I just don't want them to stick another bolt in if something could have been affected by this.

Wow, glad I stumbled on this thread. I have a very noticeable vibration that only exists when starting from a complete stop. No weird noise upon acceleration, but I'm convinced it's drive shaft related. I've had the vibrations when the truck was completely stock, so I'm really hoping they don't blame my lift.

    Just stumbled upon this...
My truck drives really well, but I did notice a very slight vibration at ~60mph.

I put my VIN in the Toyota.com/recall website, and this "warranty enhancement program" does not show up...
I have a v6, 4x4 AC truck. From my research, I should be covered, no?

Waiting on new frame to be installed
Thanks for posting and glad I found this. My '06 is in the shop now waiting for a new frame and I just emailed the adviser I'm working with with copies of the documents asking him to check on this while it's there waiting. Much appreciated!

So, what's the current news on this? Are they actually replacing anything?

they told me that if there’s a fault or problem it will be replaced free. if no problems have to pay $63 for a half hour of labor diagnostics. i have been here since 11:15 and still waiting. saw them driving my truck at 12:00. so

    Only $63?

Did you have symptoms? If so can you describe them?

Are they replacing the frame under a different warranty or you paying for it?

I'm debating having them check the drive shaft but also debating just replacing it with a better one and forgetting about it.

Are 2011's effected by the rust issue?

I have an 06 off road a/c with 258 000 kilometers on it. U joints started squeaking and have a shudder in the driveline. My u joints have grease fittings in them. Did those trucks come from factory with grease fittings or is it possible the previous owner has replaced them?

As far as I know, the stock u-joints are sealed and there shouldhave no grease fitting on them. Although I'm not 100% sure, it does sound like you have some aftermarket u-joints.

I just got my new propeller shaft replaced by Toyota Canada today. My advisor told me I'm probably the very first one in Canada as the official notice hasn't even been mailed to the taco owners.
