Ok, id like an admin to get in on this thread.... I paid for a set of grey 6" extended brake lines almost two months ago, a month later got black stock cables in the mail. I have sent OCtaco multiple PM's and made multiple replies on this thread. I sent the cables back to the senders address in cali. I also sent him a picture of the receipt for the return postage. its now been about a month and I haven't heard anything...
Is @OCTaco even alive? What's goin on with this thread and these orders?

I will add a note to, although not as bad as others mention. I did end up going back and forth several times to get the correct working brake lines. The first couple times it was great. (Meaning I received the kind of service you should get on a buy through a 3rd party, I was satisfied.) I have a set on the rear, and they work as expected. I think OCTaco is just a middle man for someone else, I'm not even sure he makes any $$ on these brakelines. He was always responsive to me, slow a few times but responsive.

Eventually, I gave up on getting a working set of front extended brakelines. (I did not even bother asking for refund on the front)

I tried several times to get a set that fit the front properly but it never worked out and I gave up on sending pics, videos and sending the lines back and forth. The fit was never quite right. I figured the guy making them really didn't know what he was doing or there is so much variety in size and fittings on the Tacoma, 4 runners or what ever he was making, that he just couldn't keep up.

    My .02.

This was the same issue with my rear, but it was good enough.

Just so anyone else knows, I wound up doing a chargeback with PayPal. It's a shame, but from lack of response and just trying to get everything for my lift I was done waiting after a month+ and no communication.

Did you pay for 'goods and service' or personal transaction...? That's why I think most of us can't get our money back through PayPal. Did it as a personal transaction to 'family or freinds'.
I just want to know wtf he's doing. Where did he go? Someone on here has to know him

I paid a little extra for goods and services. The issues others had with communication had me on the cautious side. I think sometimes PayPal will chargeback friends and family too, but I've never tried. Also, if you paid PayPal with a credit card you may be able to open a dispute with them

If you call and talk to paypal I've heard they'll do a dispute even if you paid friends and family.

Just seems kind of ridiculous. If it's that much of an issue, this dude needs to be banned from selling...

He was real good about responding and shipping product. It’s just that he has gone dark lately. His profile says he hasn’t been on here since July 17.

From what it sounds like, there's quite a few dudes he has taken money from on here since then. I've pretty much written off the money I sent him, I just dont want to see anyone else get scammed

You can start a thread in this subforum that only the mods can see. Can talk to them about getting him banned or whatever.

    OK so the response is...
I got on PayPal. Made a complaint. Called them, they gave my the email associated with his account. I sent an email through PayPal for a refund and waited.
Three days later no email back, I was notified by PayPal I was being issued a refund for the $119.
    And that's that.

That's my advice. Open a dispute with PayPal, explain it and follow the steps, they'll refund you.
