Did a little work today. Toytec aal's, with overload removed, Wildpeak 265/70/17s, and Spidertrax 1.25in spacers. It def handles better with a little wider stance. Gained total 1 in up front, and 2 7/8 in out back. Im gonna let the springs settle a little, do some light towing, before I choose the front suspension parts. No rub, close, but none.20180821_110443.jpg 20180821_110457.jpg 20180821_110524.jpg

Last night I installed Total Chaos bed stiffeners.

I didn't have issues with bed bolts but having a shell and bedrug slowed me down.

How did you end up solving the issue? It looks like you somehow slipped the stiffener under the shell. I have a shell also and ended up getting rid of the Total Chaos stiffeners and going with the Cali Raised stiffeners. They are shorter and the shell didn't interfere with them.

Funny how that works. If it makes you feel any better you've got company. More often than not your only reward for working hard is you get to work even harder!

Correct. I loosened the clamps to the shell then notched out a little bit of the fiberglass to have room for that LONG bolt to get out and in.

That's what really slowed me down.

I took my truck in because of the weeping out of the rear diff. I previously brought it in for the recall (retorque) bolts. Long story short- a field rep is coming to inspect in a couple of weeks and a decision will be made.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
    Okay, well allow me...

Remember that time one of your kids brought home The Plague from school and you and your whole family were sick for a week, but you came into work anyway looking like death warmed over, sweating from fever and coughing up fur-balls, and a short while later your co-workers started dropping like flies... We forgot to say "Thanks.".

    :p

Got an underseat sub/amp combo, for $40 from a friend. It's ok, but I wouldn't have paid $300 for it!

I had the same thing happen. First recall inspection was at a few hundred miles. It was weeping by the 10K visit. Dealer had to get Toyota to approve since it had already been cleared. They wound up replacing the gasket, fluids and fasteners. Cleaned the heck out of it too, not a spot of oil or dirt on the diff when I drove it out after repair. I am at 15K now and all looks good.

IRRC a few others have posted saying basically the same deal. I am sure yours should be taken care of as well.

El Estero used to be good when they were still doing an actual hand wash. Now they screwed up by installing some fancy machine with laser precision.....:jerkoff:
You should recommend Details-Details to your folks, they do a real hand wash and hand wax for cheap IMO, compared to other lack luster shops around here.
