Ugh. I drew one back in my house once, after it exploded I was left holding just the riser. Limbs, cams, bushings, everything went flying. Coulda put an eye out.

Yes just accross my left knuckles.
    I was real lucky...

This was also im my house.
Was just doing a check before walking in the woods. Not even a full draw just working the wheels.

I was real afraid of the dry fire but the Hoyt pro said those limbs were like iron. Don't think twice about it.

a friend of mine had one of his bow strings snap inside the bow case. It had been a number of years since he shot it but luckily he didnt draw it back.

My Mathews FeatherMax blew a string in 2008 while it was stored in a Plano bow case. Busted the end of the case and the limb and idler were sticking out.

I was lucky there. It was a long time ago and I think it was a PSE Pulsar or something. But it scared the hell out of me!

Here’s one for you, you’re sitting in your stand, It’s 5:30 in the morning and it’s pitch black. While preparing your bow for a battle. You slip while putting your arrow nok on the string and the arrow come sliding back and the Brodhead finds the cable.
    KAABOOM!

    Not silent anymore!

and day ruined ( and did I mention it was right during the rut, this happened to a friend of mine )

When its dark and I nock an arrow, I always say to myself "don't cut the string, don't cut the string". I have a huge fear of this happening some day. Bet it woke him up! Accidental double quote.

I had a Pearson Renegade with a home made overdraw shooting short 1916 aluminum arrows at 70lbs. Basically dry firing it every time, blew up in my face. Young and stupid. Then I got a High Country Sniper. Lesson learned!!!!

First bow was a Bear Kodiak Hunter recurve. Sold it in 1982 for $50 to buy a PSE something or other wood riser compound. Moved up to a PSE Jet-Flite in '87. Shot that until I bought my Hoyt Raptor Excel in '96. Bow was a bitch to tune. But it sent a 2315 arrow with a 125 grain Thunderhead down range at 245fps. Moved on to a Mathews FeatherMax in 2000. Still have it and still take it out. Picked up a 2005 Mathews LX a few years later. Love that bow. Still my favorite bow to shoot, hands down. After it split a limb in '13 it just hasn't been the same. No one seems to be able to get it back in tune. So in April of this year I picked up a Hoyt HyperForce. Initially I really really liked it. Having some tuning issues and constant string stretch.
