Small places can usually get away with it. It’s just a really weird sue happy battle carb has with companies. It’s way over my head. The work around is just buy from somewhere else. Big companies like Amazon, jegs and summit racing is where this comes from.

I’m going to be ordering turbo stuff soon so curious how messy it is going to be. Figured universal parts are cool since it isn’t vehicle specific.

This is the bs that started this mess.

"For Off Road Use Only," I suppose no longer leaves it in the hands of the consumer.

Have you checked into how your IAC Valve is wired up with the PNP harness? I would think that would be a good starting point to know how to tweak the settings in the software. See if Paradise wired up two grounds and which is wired to what. I think that the newer 1st gens like yours also have a RSD wire...I'm not sure what that does. I just know the RSO opens the valve and the RSC closes it.

I wasn’t sure if there’s a way to troubleshoot that in the software because it’s almost impossible to get a hold of parasites

I would just pull the harness out of the truck and use a ECU Pinout to find which are the idle wires. Then use the Haltech Wiring diagram to figure out what they wired into that harness. Then you'll know which settings to address in your software.

Here's a 1st Gen ECU Pinout guide if you don't already have one handy:

Yeah and like everyone else has realized with paradise it’s impossible to just get something like that after already paying... I might just run my own three wires from the haltech. It might be easier

The IAC Valve is a three wire valve. The middle wire is a fused positive that you can leave wired in the stock wiring. The other two are ground wires that are used to open or close the valve depending on which on is being (more) grounded. I say "more" because it's a varied duty cycle so that if one is has a 40% duty cycle then the other will have a 60% duty cycle like a push pull valve. You have to figure out which wires the Haltech uses to do this to know which should be wired in there then you control those two wires through your software. Which Haltech unit are you running?

I'm looking at the info on the 550 Elite on the Haltech website.
Quote: "Closed Loop Idle Speed Control - requires 1 or 2 user defined outputs (BAC type)"
Features: "5 x Digital Pulsed Outputs"

Looking at the wiring diagram, the violet wires with differet color stripes are the DPO's. I'm guessing that you can use two of those outputs to gain Idle speed control as long as they are defined that way by you in the software. IDK if these Digitial Outputs are what are being referred to when they say "1 or 2 user defined outputs (BAC type)"

I've not actually used a Haltech so I can't say for sure if this is correct info. The Haltech guys on here will have to say if that's right or I'm just saying nonsense.

Yea you’re right the issue is the way paradises jumper is made it’s basically impossible to test without a legit pinout diagram which is why I’ll probably end up just doing that portion with my own wire
