The other thing I saw was the Mexican employees would use the rest room and instead of flushing the soiled toilet paper, they would throw it in the trash can. Forget hand washing!!

Have been to countries where the pipes simply don't handle toilet paper... Peru, china, Taiwan, Vietnam, etc. tossing it into a can by the toilet is the norm. But still need to wash your hands!

    This is an interesting thread.

My truck was built in Fremont CA at the NUMMI plant where Teslas are built today. I happen to work on the other side of the highway. It's kinda neat knowing that about 16 years ago it rolled off the assembly practically across the street from where I go to work every day.

On the door sticker is posted the month/year of fabrication but is there a way to know the day it was built?
    Mine says 1/17 Tx.

I am not sure if you can find that info after it was produced, my truck was ordered so the Dealer gave me updates and told me the day it went down the assembly line

May depend on the model you have been choosing too. If you read that article, the only ones they are equipped for at the Mexico Plant is Double Cab Automatics. So all Manuals, Access Cabs, and Pro's should be coming from the Texas Factory.

I don't see why they wouldn't be able to make a Pro, they do have double cab automatic Pros right?

My truck was made by good, hard working people that know how to make real Tequila and don’t put corn and other wierd stuff inside their tacos. What’s with Texas Taco’s, anyways? :taco:

I think they like to limit the amount of variables in production there, pretty sure the Pro's only go through Texas as do other Double Cab Automatics too.

I am pretty sure that is correct too and would make sense since Canadian Models seem to be different from what we get here.

Another thing is this. All packages are obviously factory installed. Any option such as roof racks, running boards, doorsill protectors, are all installed at port/regional distribution center. Then the window sticker is printed and shipped by truck to dealers. Every one of my door sill protectors are started in a different spot in door jam. Not a big deal, but annoying if you have ocd.

You can type your vin in on the Toyota website. It will list all the information about your truck. It includes all factory installed/ port installed options and accessories.
