I'm putting in some Moog problem solvers but i can't the BJ any further than this because it's going in uneven. I think it's the nature of the control arm to where the press doesn't sit 100% even. Any ideas?

How are you putting them in? I assume you're using a ball joint press? When I did the ball joints on my old Dodge P/U they started to do that. I just kept pressing them in and they ended up seating flat. Probably not the correct way to do it but it worked for another 100k miles before I bought my Tundra.

Take it out and freeze it for a couple of hours. Then press while cold

the ball joint will truly sit flat once the collar makes contact and sits flush with the cast LCA housing. make sure to put that C clip in the bottom of the balljoint once pushed in.

Try tapping the end of the CA ear with a hammer while you are pressing it in. The vibrations should help it straighten out

Yes, im using a BJ press. I tried to just press through it but it wouldn't budge. I even used my electric impact gun and nothing. I just took it out and you can see how the collar on the control arm was searing off the outer ridges on the BJ. This normal?

Return it. Moogs are garbage these days. I've heard of this happening to a few people.

Edit* also doesn't look like it's going down very square which might be adding to the problem....

    Part number?

You need to freeze them. I started mine on a flat press first to make sure they were straight then went to a BJ press device.

I also put a dab of 10w30 and Some anti seize on mine.

Also make sure you’re putting it in the right way. That sounds dumb but I almost did it.

Im def putting it in the right way. Freezing wont risk making them too brittle, right?

I have to sand down the burr it made along the collar, then ill freeze it and try again

Pressed two a couple weeks ago. No issues. Same BJs.
Did you clean the eye really well?
Like someone already said, put it in the freezer before pressing. Even heat (heat gun) the eye a little to be sure you are getting the best advantage.
