Please don’t crucify me for this.

I’ve searched and searched and I can’t come across a thread that really points to a good bulb that’s plug and play that’ll produce the best light output. I’ve read about the ultimate fog light/head light upgrade and what not and I’ve read about HID’s and LED’s not being the greatest because they blind oncoming traffic. I’m just looking to maybe pinpoint a halogen bulb or something else that has given people good results in contrast to the stock halogen bulb. I’m not trying to wire anything or buy the morimoto fog light assemblies. Just a bulb that’ll improve the light output on the fogs.

Not trying to flood with another common question/thread but can’t seem to find a solid answer. Thanks in advance for any good insight!

I have had good luck with the optilux h11 12volt yellow bulb set. It was easy plug and play and improved my output just because its more of an amber and cuts through the rare fog we have in our part of the world

I may look into those. Trying to find them on Amazon but looks like I’ll have to do eBay.

Those look great but they’re LED and stuffing an LED in a housing designed for halogen bulbs may create the blinding effect for oncoming traffic. Still will keep them on my list though.

A little pricey for the bulb. I may look into these but for $150 I think I might have better options. Thanks though!

I already looked into that and I don’t want to mess with the elevated temperatures or using different wiring etc. I’m just looking for a plug and play bulb that’ll provide some better light output. I know I can only expect so much but I figured there’s some being better than stock as there usually is.

I have been using Heise LED's from Metra Electronics with huge success. We have been installing them in customers cars for well over 2 years now as well.

It actually never crossed my mind that they could blind people. Do you have anything further that supports this? Def don't want to be blinding people

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/why-leds-should-not-be-run-in-halogen-reflectors.454371/

Halogen headlight assemblies are designed for halogen bulbs. LED bulbs are not designed for use with Halogen housings.

The result is that the LED light is scattered all directions and blinds oncoming traffic.

LED bulbs in halogen housings probably aren’t street legal in your state, which could put you in a pickle if you’re involved in an accident at night using illegal headlights.

Some LEDs don’t put off enough heat to melt snow or ice off your housings, which could be a problem if you live in a snowy climate.

100% of the time you are better off with halogens.

    All of this....

Looking for a selective yellow bulb for the fogs.....

Needs to be halogen, as we see winter weather.
The yellow also helps with glare on wet surfaces, and in the snow.

There is another bulb that plugs in, but, is LESS wattage, and yellow....

Been looking, but I'm thinking they may have been pulled.

Found a few online vendors still, selling but, shipping is more than the lights....
