so I guess we can say that Montana has three seasons now? Winter, construction and wildfire?

Anyone else sick of this GD smoke?!?!? I can't see the mountains. I think someone stole them....

I was in Island Park camping, drove down Friday and back to Bozeman today. Its awful. Hope the fire isn't too close to you! I love the Gravellies, one of my favorite camping/driving/exploring places around these parts.

Not too close yet we've had a lot of north wind which has helped keep the fire away so far. I was in the centennial valley this weekend it was clear Saturday but today was pretty smokey.

It's pretty bad here in GF. Air quality is terrible and ash is falling. Definitely worse than last year.

Hope it stays that way. If the Gravellies reopen at some point this year I hope to head back up that way and check things out. Just hiked Black Butte for the first time this year!

You're getting the smoke from the Howe fire in Glacier I bet. I made it to the park before last year's fires. Haven't made it up there yet this year and doubt that I will. Have you seen this? Scary...

I went up during the fires last year and drove as much of going to the sun road as possible but it wasnt bad. I did. That's terrifying. I couldn't imagine what they were going through.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
For the hike up Sheep Mountain to Sheep Lake, is the fishing really good at the lake or is it more like just a good hike that happens to have some fishing?
Couple of guys that want to go with me are trying to decide if it's worth the energy to carry fishing stuff up.

Really hoping the smoke around Ennis clears up some before I get there in a few weeks.

Took the family out for a day trip through the pryors. In the morning visibility was 1 mile. As the day went on it cleared up ok. But not great

West end is a safe bet for the most part. South Billings is dicey as are parts of Billings heights. Definitely a few good breweries and places to eat for you to check out. Canyon Creek and Angry Hank’s breweries to name a few. Welcome to town.

Ditto on the West side of Billings. If I were moving to Billings that is where I would move to. Billings is nice in the fact that you can get anywhere from anywhere reasonably quickly because their road layout was designed well. It makes this Missoula resident quite jealous.

Agreed! I don’t miss the days of traveling north to south or vica versa on Reserve or Russell during busy hours. Not to mention malfunction junction, WTF were they thinking!

Kinda surprising that in the 15 years since I left Missoula they haven’t figured this one out yet lol.
