So say i wanted to look into getting a CB setup.

Who should i get a bed corner antenna mount and antenna from?

And how mush should i spen on the CB?

Magnet on my roof is out. Fuck that idea completely.

I literally know nothing about any of this shit. So thats why i haven't wanted to touch it. i hate having to ask so many questions....

 

Just buy everything I posted and you'll be right as rain. Installation is easy as well. To wire in the CB, it's just two wires straight to the battery. Easy peasy.

 

I guess those fancy light up antenna's require their own dedicated power for the lights on them...so that would also complicate things unnecessarily.

 

please dont burn my truck down with this tomfoolery that you claim i need.

Those also aren't antennas. They're just lit up whips so you can be more visible in the dunes. So I guess that uncomplicates things?

 

I've ran both and haven't "felt" a difference. It would also be beneficial to decide where you want to mount your CB. If you mount the CB on the passenger side of the center console, then mounting the antenna on the passenger side would make wiring even easier. Just a straight run. Now, they don't HAVE to be on the same side, but it helps.

 

I was thinking mount the antenna on the passenger side and have the CB on the back of the center console or in the front of it in the cubby

My favorite spot is on the side of the center console, right next to the passengers left leg. That way it’s not in anyone’s way, and it’s very visible for the driver. Plus you could use some industrial Velcro to mount it and not drill holes.

 

i mean girly would hate that...she keeps her backpack there.... lol
