No sweat, I went through the same run-around with different part numbers when I bought these ones I just installed (I picked them up 6 months ago). Ultimately I called Gunny and talked to him in person to go with the ones I got. And they fit perfect, so...

Though I am not finding a good stock replacement spring..Wheelers doesn't seel their 4/5 packs anymore looks like..lame.

 

General spring maybe?

200 bucks for new leaf packs..not bad. Ha doesn't inspire a lot if confidence in build quality though...

 

Put the alcans from igor onto it. Move the spring hangers.

 

You said all three trucks need leafs. What does Igor need? If you're getting a new pack there, can you move the old pack to Red? Which I think will require modding Red...but then making it more interchangeable with Igor in the future...you know, for when you have to scavenge the other way later... lol?

Those are the springs that will never die.

 

No those spring will be way too stiff on the little truck. I'll never be able to do hand me downs that way.

I'd give Frank's leaf packs after removing some but Frank's main leafs are bent..but could still butcher something together.

I'm not going to weld new hangers to the little truck. A) I can't..no space for welding. B) I don't want too haha

I'll order Igor some custom ones and ask if I can bundle some 4 packs from wheelers. I'm sure Bill will know what I'm referring too.

 

Makes sense. Shipping from Alcan was pretty reasonable as I recall. Probably a good way to buy once for the little truck vs. possibly many with another vendor, even if it costs a bit more this time.

 

Red will never be a wheeler. Too small. Which was one of the reasons why I bought it as I knew I wouldn't do that haha I would rather buy something I know will last a really long time and not have to fix again for my commuter. It's a perfect commuter otherwise. 20+mpg. 4wd. Quick. Fun. Check all the boxes except turbo for me and I'm okay with no turbo.

Will see. If I have to pay 700 bucks for 4 packs..probably won't do that. But if it's like 4-500. Sure why not. The way they lasted on Frank with mega abuse. They would last a long freaking time on the lil red truck.

 

Frank's packs are well.. Frankenstein packs but they are still the wheelers 5 packs I bought in 2011. Then an aal and the skyjacker leaf.

Frank's and the little trucks leafs are the shirt packs nothing that goes on Igor will swap across. Igor's packs are Mike's original wheelers 8 packs.

I have a small dream of boosting the lil truck with a turbo and using a mega squirt ecu to tune...but it is very tiny as I'd rather spend the mod money elsewhere and done want to buy premium for the DD and don't want to be tweaking the DD all the time.......least not with out real shop space. Someday maybe. But not soon.

Got plenty of get up and go now. Hauls ass actually. Boosted would just be silly fun.


If I can find some oem packs around here locally I'll just do that.

 

Meh. Its a 5vz. It would be fine even with high mileage. Wouldn't be boosting it to the stars anyways. Smaller turbo and like 10psi max. Would wake it up a lot. Supposedly has 40kish on it..but i don't think I believe that.
