I'm confused what you're saying. Is it personal property tax? Are you active duty military stationed in VA but have a different state of residence? Because if so, you are exempt from paying it. All you have to do is supply your LES.

I paid it one year not realizing that, and the next year I showed my LES. They refunded me for the previous year.

 

My PPT is down to $613 for the Tacoma this year. Baby steps.

 

Its for a year and your truck cant be worthless if it's a taco! i think blown up ones still hold value. Also since i bought last year at the end of march i wasnt charged a full year, but it was still like $700. ugh glad i can bitch about something like this here and have plenty of people that share my pain.

 

Yea I know i miss living in NC and dodging it when i worked in chesapeake. I'm just the dumb fuck that joined while living in VA and shouldve changed my residence when I was stationed in Oregon where everything is Free.99 for military.

The state will always get your money. Doesnt matter how they take it. Taxation is extortion (especially property tax)
