I wanted to get them on before, but ran into the issues mentioned. Might try again this weekend, but rain in the forecast.

    Thanks.

Took my pile of rear suspension parts and dropped the truck off at Iron Pig Offroad in Fredericksburg to have it all installed. I should have it back in a few weeks.

Damn man a few weeks? Sounds like a gnarly bill on the way.

Haha. Yeah. They quoted 30+ hours of labor. I was talking to the owner (Lance?) when I dropped it off, and he mentioned that they had a new guy in the shop. He said the new guy won't be working on my truck, but they have to spend time making sure that he's do things to shop standard and generally getting him lined out. He told me he thought he could have it done in about 2 weeks.

Oh ok that’s not bad. Mine was around 30 hours so the estimate seems good.

I just got off the phone with Iron Pig Offroad. They're making progress on my truck. They have the Camburg SUA kit on the truck, and they have the frame prepped for boxing. We decided that they're going to custom make a plate set like DMZ's kit that retains the factory crossmember instead of using the other plates that I bought. They also mentioned that they just put the bed back on the truck to start installing the @ARCHIVE Garage shock towers. They said that they thought they would have the truck done next week.

Hopefully the bill is coming out as expected. Im still salty after all my work done that they never even attempted to do any frame boxing. Hopefully they don't charge much to create the plates.

Sweet baby Jeebus! I got an email today saying my truck is FINALLY done. :bananadance: :dancingbacon: :broccoli::jellydance: :kona: :taco: :yay: :goingcrazy: I'm busy at work, so I won't be able to actually pick it up until Friday most likely. :frusty: I'll try to get pictures up this weekend. :boink: :fingerscrossed:

Anyone local that's following along feel like lending a hand getting my fiberglass bedsides on? :help: Now that @LocoLocal and I tried the driver side before I dropped the truck off, and I have an idea of what we were doing wrong. It should be relatively quick.

 He was down this way to visit family he has in the area and came by one evening to give me a hand. No internal organ failure occurred.

Congrats on the ride man...hopefully you let them put in the extended filler neck for the gas tank. As far as the bedsides...what else you need to do to them. I could be down depending on my schedule this weekend.

    What were we doing wrong?!

I should be down that way to hunt in a couple of weeks and could lend a hand if you don't have it done by then.

Only when working on your truck haha!

I didn't have them install the extended filler neck, but I have it at the house. If they had done the filler neck, it would be sticking out the factory bedside.

I just need to drill holes and mount the bedsides (and fit the taillights of course). The fender liners, flares, and bed rail caps are already pulled off, so we just need to pull the bumper and move the bed back.

If you're available this weekend, that would be cool.

The rear part should have been on the same side that the taillight goes instead of inside the bed. Also, we needed nuts/washers which I have now. Let me know what your schedule looks like, and I'll keep you updated if I need a hand. I'll be out of town the last weekend of the month.

Sounds good man, if you had a preference of either sat or sun...what would work best? Shouldn’t be too bad to mount. One thing I will say is an air chisel can pop off the spot welds that hold the gas tank cover pretty fast. If you have availability to one that would surely help.

I'm free either day. Saturday might be a little better just because Sunday is when I try to get laundry and grocery shopping done. I'm not sure what you're talking about with the spot welds and and tank cover.

Thanks. I was able to go pick up the truck this evening. No pictures yet because I was busy playing musical vehicles to get the truck and my WRX back home, but I'll try to get some tomorrow after work.

In order to remove the gas tank door on the bedside you have to pop the spot welds which I believe are three of them. Once you do that it practically just unbolts.

How did the rear feel? Mine feels good with about 200# in the bed.
