We have one right next door to Chick-fil-a, it’s always empty or very few customers. We go there if time is a factor.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
The closest FF we have are the traditional burger joints and Arby's. Occasionally we will get Wendy's...because someone wants a frosty.

I still have PTSD from a Frosty.

It was 1985...my jaw was wired shut (long story) and we didn't have all the protein drinks and meal replacements you kids have nowadays. Class field trip swung through Wendy's and all I could get was a Frosty. So I got the big one.

It was terrible. The brain freeze! The cranial implosion! I could only suck it through a straw! It wouldn't melt! I was starving, and still it merely oozed like lava or road tar! IT TOOK AN HOUR AND 45 MINUTES TO FINALLY GET THAT GODDAMN THING DOWN!!!!

I had a small Frosty a few years ago, and it all came back to me.

True, but sill better than most domestics. I prefer Guinness or a good craft beer.

There are sooooooo many inter-service comments that I can think of, but out of respect for a Brother in Arms, I'll let this one go. :oldglory:

Speaking of Guinness. Was at a pub having a Guinness last friday, well... I had one and some black and tans and they serve some Shepherd's Pie Fries. So tasty. End of story.

And THIS coming from the branch of service that popularized the phrase "it's not gay if it's under way?"

I was 15 and in high school. After 6 weeks of liquid meals, there wasn't much I wasn't will to do for real, solid food. I'm not ashamed. I was just STARVING!!!! I dropped to 115 pounds, at 6' tall. I could have been an extra in Schindler's List.

I had to have my jaws (upper and lower) rebuilt in 2004 to correct some bite issues, and thank God for more protein-related options that time. I caught a lot of "don't ask/don't tell" grief, but I'm a smart ass and gave it right back.

    Mmmmmmm...Guinness...liquid bread...

And still developing a VERY successful business despite everyone in the industry telling them they couldn't survive if not open on Sundays.

The big difference, JMHO, is that while the food is definitely a bit better than the traditional FF fare, it's the friendliness of the employees and customer service that really sets them above the typical McDonald's drone/clone/pissed off millennial who looks at you like they hate you for being there and interrupting their youtube/snapchat time.

    Guinness is overrated...

I'd rather have a Left Handed Milk Stout

We could go on and on all day.

CFA is hands down better than nearly all fast food.

Yuengling is hands down better than all domestic piss.

    Gotta compare apples to apples!

If you're a millennial and still working at McDonalds then you're doing something seriously wrong. That "job" is for children.

After 26yrs in, I honestly never heard that phrase. :notsure:

That must have sucked. I had my share of dental work from age 14-16, but nothing compares to that.

Would that refer to submariners? I work with one - that’s good.

He keeps a box of crayons in his office for a Marine that works for him, and whenever he gets cranky the crayons come out and “you sound like you need a snack.”

One of the best parts of working in the VA is that we all continue to give each other crap constantly.
