Just got my first Tacoma about a month ago and I had no idea what could be done to them, haha. Now I have a really long list of things I could do.
Was curious what your top 5, first to last, things would take priority for you? I'm really only looking for a small amount of off road capability as it's also my daily driver, but I would like it to look different and more aggressive than the stock. It's a 2016, black Sport.

lighting is my first suggestion. halogen bulbs suck. lol

Recovery equipment especially if you're going solo offroad be a priority too.

Tires even on stock wheels makes a difference on looks and offroad performance.

A non-OEM roof rack. I get asked about my prinsu frequently. I'm on the east coast though (like you), so maybe it's a little more rare than out west.

Drive it until you find a limitation, either functional or cosmetic, and then mod it until you find the next one.

Armor first if you need it. Not necessary unless you're pretty hardcore into off-roading though.
