Red Elephant may be pretty difficult without a locker. Did it with an open xj a month ago and he needed a lot of momentum to get through the flexy sections. Came pretty close to flopping. There are some trees that like kisses too. All three of us kissed one.

I'll be in CO. From around Sept 7 to about the 12th if anyone wants to do Alpine loop or anything around that area. Would love to meet some fellow TW members on the journey to UT.

Are these trails stock friendly, I’m a little curious to do a trail run, never done one before,
But my truck is a daily driver ( lots of miles) and mostly stock and don’t want to bang her up.
If I’m mostly stock what number on the map scale should I stay at?

Your best option is to research on www.Trailsoffroad.com and read over the routes. One persons "stocker friendly" definition could be different from yours, especially if you don't want to bang yours up. Trails Offroad has tons of great info plus videos of the trails

Sweetness! I'll post closer to time for anyone that wants to hit around that area. I'll be spending most of my time around central to Southwest Colorado for some sites.. I'll be there for a few days so would absolutely love some people that know some of the area to site see some things and wheel with

I would recommend staying at/under a 3 personally. Above 3 is where a lift and sliders are recommended IMO. The rating works as such:

Lets take a 3-5 for instance. The first number is the LOW TECHNICAL RATING which means its the hardest MANDATORY obstacle. The second number is the HIGH TECHNICAL RATING which means its the hardest OPTIONAL obstacle.

    Thanks for the rep!

Oh dang, that's your website. Besides there being zero trails in KY that site is pretty sweet. I like what you're doing with it. A whole lot of great info on it @mtbjohn42. I've downloaded a few .gpx files for my trip to AZ, Utah, and CO here in a couple weeks! Thank ya sir.

Cody, thank you so much for the kudos.

I am technically the vice president haha. Todd Taylor (https://www.trailsoffroad.com/users/2) is the founder of the site (he is a Jeep guy so you wont see him on here), and he is a great guy. His original vision was to have the most high quality information out there available (unlike a few other crowd sourced sites). Collectively we are about 120 people, who dedicate their time to write trail guides all over America.

Glad you are enjoying the site! We are going to have another big push of functionality in the next few months. Stay tuned!

Here's a snapshot from COTREX which allows you to see what is currently allowed per the MVUM (route in red), and the rest of the route in white which leads to the peak. FWIW I've heard from folks who have run it this year, who were unaware of the change, and went to the top because there is no posted signs/cabling/fencing/etc. to alert users to the end of the allowed portion. I'm not trying to open up an argument or anything, just sharing what I've observed.
