Everyone has been pretty solid with their recommendations. The best advice I was ever given was to cover your windows, secure anything outside that can be blown around, and pay attention to what your local authorities are recommending, take what the news says with a grain of salt and use common sense and don't do dumb shit. Cat 1-3 Hurricanes are not that bad to wait out and because pretty much all of Hawaii has elevation, storm surge will only affect the immediate coastline areas (beaches). Cats 4 & 5 suck balls but they are survivable as long as you are not in a flood zone. Enjoy nature's power display and keep yourself and your family safe.

Ah, yeah that's a good one to have. I have a small one for branches. Luckily we have several people in our neighborhood with them.

lol, just wait until you see the "Don't point all your electric fans at the hurricane. It won't blow it off course".

We've had plenty of drills over the last decade, EVERYONE should be prepared (visitors/vacationers not included!).

I'm going to make an hopeful prediction and say this will be a dud just like the others before him (Lane).
