You might want to reconsider that line of thought. No one needs it now. But come October 2020, you'll need it to board a domestic flight or federal facility (if that matters to you).

Reading between the lines: Fucktardery and delays will become exponentially worse as October 2020 approaches. Because human nature and ignorance.

Talking to a local Ace employee, he said the strategy was to leave open any stores in areas where there was not a Lowe's and they could compete with an HD store. But then I'd imagine they would convert any of those remaining storefronts to Lowe's.

Too bad, I really liked them as an alternative. Carried good stuff.

    Haha fair enough.
Was still deciding on how many I wanted since I'm going to only use 2, but wanted to account for messups and what not. Ended up ordering 4 to be safe

^^^^ this is true. Take it from a state worker.
It will take them 2 -3 years to fix the problem, by then there will be a different problem. The politics, rules, and all the bullshit it takes to spend tax dollars isn't as black and white as everyone thinks. It should be easier then it is but its just not the case. Road block after road block and most of the management have no clue how the system even works. They sit back and react to emergencies as that's how the state is run. In a Run To Fail model. Being proactive is nearly impossible with government.
a few months back I spent the entire day at the DMV from open to close to be sent home. system crashed. I feel your pain.:annoyed: you think they care , fuck NO.

When I got my little camper trailer several years ago, I spent hours on the DMV website trying to figure how the fuck to register this new equipment, how it was classified and what I need to do to have it anointed by the bureaucracy once I go there. Half the information was too vague and general, the other half used terminology that was ill-defined, and the third half was vehicle code, which isn't even meant for humans. Nowhere did it say "you must bring your trailer to the DMV." So I have an appointment first thing in the morning, I go in will all the shit I think they need, the clerk spends most of the time asking other people trying to find out what needs to be done, and finally says "ok pull the trailer around to inspection" or whatever, and I'm all WITAF. It is at home. Nowhere does it say I must do this. Sorry, GFY. So now I have to go home, fetch the fucking trailer, and bring it back and fucking wait. Half a day of lost work.

Like it was the first time ever the DMV had to register a new trailer.

This is where shooter headlines come from.

it's straight, just kinda low. i think a third is a good idea.

i guess OSH did not sell enough Yeti's at MSRP. i hate how they ask for my phone number to check out then get all pissed when i don't want to join their stupid purchase-tracking club.

Was the trailer made in California? Usually that requires a DMV inspection(verification), or inspected by an officer of the law(cop). Oh, and I like your three halves reference.

What I meant to say is that if the trailer WASN'T made it California it would require a verification. That was my experience. Guess they're saying it doesn't matter where it was made.

Luckily we have a decent Ace down here but their tool selection is subpar even compared to the smaller selections at OSH. On the flip side there's an OSH in San Jose that's literally across the street from a Lowe's so I get that part of it.

I thought maybe that's what you meant.

Or we can just assume that whoever is working there on any given day for any given task likely has no fucking clue what they are doing? Or how to smile?

The DMV is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.

Look up “special construction”. Also, the fees are 9% of the cost.

I had to wait for the VIN verifier to put a sticker on the tongue. Of course, they only have one and they were at lunch. You do not need a VIN or a title-or so I am told.

I got a letter after the fact asking for yet another form...so there’s your chocolate :)
