Back windows are tinted, front sides have a slight tint. In PA it can't be dark, so I'm limited.

Gotcha. Now that that is out of the way, you need to ask yourself, form or fashion?

That is, appearance mods or functional mods. Once you know the answer to that, we can give you a little better suggestions

When it comes to a lift, I would like the function, but I still wouldn't be doing anything crazy. Maybe a 2"? But not just a leveling kit.

I hear great things about Bilstein 5100s and OME.

But if function you want, then my first 5 suggestions are:
    • lift
    • tires
    • bed stiffeners
    • front lighting
    • some form of rust protection since you’re in PA

Those shouldn’t interfere with dailying and are relatively justifiable.

Imho, if you're not going too crazy off road; forget any lift, you don't need it, it would be just for looks, if you're into that.
    1. Change the tires, I went with 245/75-16 General Grabber AT's, much better than stock street tires, not as heavy as BFG AT KO's.
    2. Lighting; I changed the factory fogs to Rigids, and added a front light bar, and added rigid Ignites in back wired to the back up lights.
    3. Floor mats if you don't already have them, I went with the Husky's, saves a lot of time cleaning the interior.
    4. Rock-block rubber strip to connect the bed to the tailgate; only necessary if you're using your truck as a truck and hauling stuff.
    5. Window tint; helps keep the interior cool on hot days, and supposedly adds a bit of smash resistance.
After you've done all that; maybe some better shocks, I haven't done that yet.
I also replaced all the seats and headrests material with leather from leatherseatsdotcom; looks a million times better, and again, much easier to clean.
I also added swing cases in the bed; a good solution if you're the type that likes to carry some amount of stuff all the time.

    Buy this grille from me:)

In all seriousness, I'd do wheels and tires first, some beefy tires and bad shoes really make the truck

    1. Get an iPhone 7 so you can take some cool pics of the truck as you build it
    2. Open an Instagram account to document to the world your build
    3. Start a YouTube channel to show the world your wrenching skills
    4. Trade up to an iPhone X for even better picture quality
    5. Get a girlfriend to use the iPhone to take random truck poses behind the mall
    6. Get pissed off with iPhone and get an Android
    7. Get rid of girlfriend as she thinks you need to spend more time at the mall with her
    8. Trade Taco in for a bitch'n new Ridgeline

That is super nice, great job.

I almost ordered the TRD pro grill and 4runner rims, but might look for something a little different.

Is there a reason people gravitate towards that one instead of maybe a metal custom or DB? Function, cost, pure preference?

Probably the cost. The grille ran me $75 on eBay, so I can’t complain. Big improvement over stock for a relatively small amount of money. Look at some Stealth Custom Series wheels. Highly recommend:thumbsup:

Wheels and tires first, or just tires espcially for offroading and then suspension. besides that you really don't need much else
