I have them on my truck, 265/70/17. Can't say i really noticed any difference in handling or acceleration. Can't attest to the height, as I've got an SR5 that had 16" wheels so I went up a bit higher (relatively) than you will. They're badass tires though.

How do these handle rain? I currently have 265/70/17 Cooper AT3's and they seem to work well in rain, to me this tread pattern looks better for dirt/mud more than rain.

Ride is a bit smoother. Not as rough over broken pavement. If the acceleration is affected I can't really feel it. You can feel the slight increase in tire size when you turn. Gained around 5/8 inch over stock tires. Not really enough to notice honestly.

Wet traction is my favorite improvement with these tires vs the stock Goodyear's on the OR. The stock tires would skid while turning into my neighborhood over the sealant on the street and make that wet sneaker sound. AT3W's make no noise and don't slide.
Also due to the deeper tread on the Falkens, the risk of hydroplaning is much less.

The wet traction on these also beats the Cooper AT3s.

I was surprised how well these do in the rain, I bet they do better than the Coopers.

I had these tires on my F150 and 250... they are very good but not as good as KO2s in any condition imo. However, they are very very close and for the price it was worth it for sure.

Well, they do. :). See below courtesy of our friends at Discount Tire Direct. I had the Coopers on my second gen and they were good tires. They cleaned out especially well in mud and clay but if I’m being honest, I didn’t like their performance in the rain. I would view the braking numbers below as quite substantial.

In a braking test from 60 to zero in wet climate:

Cooper Discoverer AT3 stopped in 191 feet
Falken Wildpeak A/T3W stopped in 164 feet

In a braking test from 60 to zero in dry climate:

Cooper Discoverer AT3 stopped in 146 feet
Falken Wildpeak A/T3W stopped in 126 feet

For Winter rating using 5 as the best, they are both 4 out of 5

For handling with 5 being the best they are both 4.5 out of 5

For quiet ride with 5 being the best, they are both 4 out of 5

For comfort ride with 5 being the best:

Cooper Discoverer AT3 scored 3 out of 5
Falken Wildpeak A/T3W scored 3.5 out of 5

Any time! I never realized just how far apart some tires are in wet braking and dry braking performance overall. I’ve been looking at tires for my GTI and the numbers are all over the place. I guess I just assumed that tech was such that they would all be close when in fact they are not. The best of the best may be, but for the most part the “numbers” are all over the place.

Just replaced stock Wrangler kevlar tires with Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 265/75/16.

Bit more road noise which I expect, these are more aggressive compared to stock tires. But there's more vibrations, especially over 60MPH. Anyone else notice this? Should I take it back to the tire shop and double check the balance?

I used the 15% off coupon and got mine at the DTD store on eBay for $367.20 for 265/75/16. Those eBay coupons help a lot.

so they had a 15% off coupon yesterday, but the 285/70/17s that were in my cart went from $572 up to $700 (and I could use a 15% off coupon from there)

Called the tire shop, they'll take a look at it this afternoon. Hope it's a balancing issue.
