Putting a turbo back there on a truck isn't a good idea, lots of ground clearance to let a lot of rocks/road debris pelt the turbo

 

For how much is riding on these turbos, mat wouldnt dare risk anything like that. Especially since the turbos are self contained, they have actuators, blow off valves, the turbo itself, etc. All in one.

No that's not a turbo. That looks like a bracket of some sort. The turbo will be down and back where the intercooler pipe comes from, passenger's side of the firewall, down low.
