    Me too!! Cast iron skillet taters on the Smokey joe. They were really good. Loaded the pan up with olive oil, directly over the coals, with some SPG, garden beans, and sausage.

    165 recommended final temp. Pull at 155-160. Rest 5 mins. :thumbsup:

    But looking at his results... 170 all day! :hungry:

    For chickens that I don’t brine I pull off way earlier.

    For brined chickens I tend to pull off at 163-165. I just happened to walk away from The birds at 153 to do something and came back it was 170. I wasn’t worried at all though. My brine came out a lil stronger than usual so I knew they would be fine.

    Got a fresh ham on the smoker right now. Rubbed it down with some PitFaced Meat Massage, thought about doing it with Ginger soda such as Vernors but decided against it. One day I'm going to try the Alton Brown recipe with the ginger snaps.
