Here is a pic of the damaged part. It might be a cigarette burn, I really have no info on how it got this way, as it came to me like this. It looks a lot worse in the pic than in real life. For example of the size of the area- the white spots next to it are dust. So it's a relatively small area. It's about the same size as the twisty knob for the AC vent, which would be right above the damage, with the damage still visible. This part might be able to be sanded and painted over, but I don't know a whole lot about interior repairs so do this at your own risk. Thank You for looking.

I’m pretty sure that plastic piece that’s damaged pops out from the actual radio surround, for people who have 4x4 switch. Mine did when I ordered a new 05-11 radio surround bezel from camelback. Put a trim tool behind and pop it out it’s held in with little tiny plastic clips I believe. I can’t find a pic of a black surround but if you look close at the left side you can see where the clips go in on that damaged piece you have to just pop it out.
