    I’m down.

The Fall is a complicated time b/c of college football. However, could maybe do it while they’re on a roadie. Or we go in spring time :D

    Aye!

For some reason I have a desire to off-road in New Mexico. Not sure why other than it sounds like it would be cool. We take the backroads from Utah to New Mexico. Hmmm!

I do too, @H3llRid3r, but you'd need 5 lifetimes just to see all the cool stuff in Utah.

This is true. I need to settle down a bit. I have a tendency to look beyond my back yard.

    It would be cool though.

I ordered a set of Stubbs Welding HD-SKO rock sliders and they arrived a mere 8 days later. I couldn't be happier with the experience. The sliders are very well designed, prices are good, shipping is fast, their customer service and workmanship are phenomenal. I mocked the sliders into place with jack stands, they fit perfect, and all 6 scab plates fit flush against the frame. I'm excited to make them permanent.

I suppose this means you’re ready for the Subaru trail? I think a trip to the Swell is in order. :burnrubber:

I don’t know if I’ll ever be ready for the Devil’s Puckerhole, but I’m always down for a trip to the Swell. Scotch is on me next time.

They were $410.00 shipped and they’re a bargain for what you get.

I’ll take you up on the offer.

Who knows, with the right amount of scotch you might do the puckerhole trail.

Buying from Stubbs was a good experience for me as well. Sliders have been thoroughly beat. The outer tube is dented to shit, but holding strong.

Something to consider... The one thing that I never realized before burning them on is that they do NOT have gussets between the leg and the frame plate. This seems odd to me because literally every other slider does. I'm not sure why they don't. I have meaning to add some.

I noticed that too but I'm not worried about them not having gussets. For me the sliders are just in case, I'm not seeking out rock gardens to bash them on.

Then you should never have an issue. Did you have to notch the pinch weld for the legs to clear?

I did, I notched them all the way up to the bottom of the rocker panels. That way the sliders can be moved up a bit and look nice and snug but still have a good 3/4” of clearance.

They would fit without notching the pinch weld but there would be very little clearance, maybe 1/8.”

Sexy OME Dakars and greasable shackles are in. I had to ruin 3 cutting discs and a Harbor Freight “professional” angle grinder chopping off the U-bolts and eye bolts.

I think their sliders are the only ones that are designed around this part of the bed that curves down for no good reason:
