    Honestly it depends on the smog tech. Some of them are super anal about it and some of them don't even pop the hood if there isn't a check engine light and no smoke coming out of the tail pipe. The problem for the wink wink guys is if you test somewhere and fail you then they don't want you to go to them. I have to take my work truck to this guy far away but he smogs the truck for me. Check engine light is on but it runs fine, my boss doesn't want to fix it because it has 353k, so its a decent option.

    I think I would just try and send my truck w/ the full skids on and see what happens. If they give me any quack quack I will install the factory ypipe, and I still have my stock tailpipe to throw on since I will be modifying the ypipe back to fit onto your masterpiece.

    Cool, yeah I'm just curious so I can have my fab guy booked in advance. I'm buying URD Spec U LT equal length headers Friday. Also paying you $550 Roostfactor. I already have 3" MBRP resonator and muffler. All new SS hangers. Totally SS exhaust. I plan on running no cats and doing an axle dump. Exhaust will be titties and beer. Then Ill be saving for my SC.

    @Stryker420 I try to make progress on these where I can when my truck is put together. That means I build sub assemblies as far as possible so I have less work to do when I fit them to my truck.

    Sweeet! Have any pics of the progress on mine? Cant wait to put this on the truck and ditch the cats:D

    Also, do you know if i can use some plugs in the extra o2 bungs until i can get everything together for my afr gauge setup?

    I probably wont have yours finished for at least a week or two. I have murph and jojotoo's to pack up tomorrow to ship Friday then kids football Friday night and Sat night. Sun and Mon are slated for @5thGearPinned and then I have two of town VA appointments for military retirement exams next week that I need my truck for. I ride my motorcycle locally weather permitting.

    Trust me man...I will get them all done but I WONT rush to do it! Too many corners get cut that way and dont operate that way. I wouldnt br able to sleep at night if I did.

    As I have said before, I am not a professional (yet) but every pipe is the best I can do!

    @Roostfactor Throughout this thread, I've caught your drift that making these y-pipes is just a side hobby for you.... all I can say is if this y-pipe execution is just a beginning hobby, then you must crank out AMAZING work(manship) in your professional 9-5.

    The development and construction of these pipes look amazing to this forum spectator! Bravo!

    Thanks! I am a career Air Force C-130 engine mechanic by trade. We are inherently anal as from day 1 it is engrained in your head you cant pull over to the side of the road if an engine fails.
    Every pipe will have a flaw somewhere in my eyes as I have been an instructor and inspector for many years as part of my job. I just dont want someone to be disappointed if not every weld is "stack of dimes" eddy current inspection quality. It is simply the best I can do with my current equipment and skillset.
