What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Try lifting the engine cover, I find I can get a better grip on my filter when I pull that plastic cover off.

 

I read a post on filters and have used the factory filter with Mobil 1 5-30w synthetic ever since. 38k on the truck now, I try to do the oil every 4500 miles. Just did it with the Fumoto valve. Life is easy now... love it.. Made my own wrench on cnc machine.

Same thing happens to me, as well as on my subarus with a top mounted filter. I always put oil on the gasket and hand tighten them and I have a hell of a time getting them back off. I just use channel locks.

 

I use one of these, excellent for our trucks

 

When the oil cools and drains back into the engine, it leaves behind a vacuum, so removal will always be tougher than installation. Just use a decent filter wrench. Look up AssToy640

 

Thinking of picking this up.... Anyone have any experience with this type of bike rack?

I siliconed the shit out of mine and they are still really fogged up

 

I’m going back to OE lights . TRD Sport Smoked headlights . Local dealer price is $195 each . An other dealer that did my frame swap wants $255 for each

 

Do you have your oe lights? If so you can pull them open and bhlm them for way cheaper, but I would suggest picking up some spare butyl that can be bought from a larger auto parts store.

I do have them but I don’t think I can do that being I am mechanically challenged I just know I would fuck it up

What bulbs are these? With my tint and the Spyder taillights I can only really see when I hit the brakes.

Haha, I’ll likely drain it, I’ve got mud flaps on order, gonna get some new ac knobs, I’m not a fan of the OEM ones, AT tires at some point next year, may do a lift, I’m not entirely sure yet
