They CAN do this at the same time as your regular maintenance, but they wont do it automatically. You have to complain that your truck is showing those specific transmission issues, surging or stumbling, and then they'll apply the TSB.

 

I did this exact thing at my first 5k service at Magic Toyota in Edmonds last week. They didn't tell me what TSB they applied, just that they reprogrammed the ECU. I was a little worried that they didn't apply the right one, but I could tell within about 3 seconds that it was way better. Somehow I have gotten better gas mileage on this first tank of gas since the update and I have been mashing the pedal all over the place since it actually accelerates smoothly now.

 

I use search tempest to search CL ads. That said, those type of ads, will be on EVERY major market CL in a 3k mile radius. I saw one for a 1st gen Toyota pickup (like an '80 I believe) SUPER clean, 45k miles on it, dude was asking like 4 grand. Contacted him thru text, a week later he responds, doesn't answer any of my question, just kept telling me its still available....asked for more pics, "Yes, i still have it". I was at that point I blocked the number. Alot of times you can pick out those type ads, whether a scam or not, just by how the pic is taken.

 

Reverse image search the photo. They steal photos from other ads in different markets.

Anyone have any HD 2nd/3rd rear leafs they are looking to part with? This AAL I have isn’t cutting it anymore with all the weight I carry.

 

Got a 2nd gen OEM recovery hook ($25) and black front bumper with OEM fog lights & aluminum crash bar ($40) that I'm looking to get rid off. The bumper has a little cosmetic imperfections but still in good condition and the fog lights work perfectly. I'll get some pics up after work!

I bought a bone stock 2007 TRD Sport with 108k, all service and recall/tsb for $14k, which was a couple grand under book value, this past April.

 

06 aclb, beat up and 200k+, I'd say more in the $10-12k range. If it were a double cab, I could see $14k. Maybe I'm biased.
