Awesome could you post up a pic of it when you get it? Their website really kills the image quality.

Ya it’s also 10x the cost of my PRP wheel.

    $100 vs. $1000

You can get the same thing on eBay wayyyy cheaper. There are a couple of places that custom re wrap stock steering wheels.

    It’s not a rewrap
It’s a different steering wheel all together.
But I do agree it’s expensive in comparison to the race style steering wheels.
I was only digging it cause it meant a better wheel and still keeping all my controls for audio and hands free crap

Hey, I’ve been looking for one too because it’s my daily, the OE wrap is completely worn out and gross after 12 years and I honestly do not want to give up the airbag. I was in a bad wreck ( on the street ) in my 91 toy without an airbag and got a broken collar bone, nose, wrist, two black eyes & some stiches without an airbag...so if having an OE wheel with an airbag is “ uncool “ then call me Capt Fkn Uncool.

There are a few places that do it for around $200-300, they just re wrap the OE wheel with nicer materials. Some you have to pay a core deposit and then send yours in after to get the core refund.

SDHQ is $650 and it looks like they only do it for the 2016+ AND you have to do the core charge too which is stupid expensive for just recovering a wheel IMo. $2-300 for the labor and materials to hand recover a leather wheel seems reasonable.

Just to clarify - SDHQ is not a new wheel, they send you a loaner and you pay a core charge on top of the $650. You send them your wheel and they get it custom recovered and send it back to you and then you send back the loaner wheel.

There’s a guy in Escondido that hand stiched my shift knob, and did seats in my 964 Porsche. Happy to give you his info.
