I was in Sebago this past weekend.

Nope, haha. Relaxing at a beach mostly, swimming.

Are you camping, where abouts? My in laws have a cottage in the Long Beach area.

 

It feels lethargic to me unless you really get on it, that's always been my complaint.

 

Nice. We're up on the island again Sat-Sun-Mon nights, coming home on Tuesday. Looking forward to some lake time.
We're going out on Rangeley on Sunday, but just taking my parents for a joyride. They said that since I took the honorary inlaws out around Westport Island a couple of weeks ago that I owed them a trip in Fun Betty too.

 

I drive like an old man now... well, since I became an old man, so I wouldn't notice. And my last V8 was in high school so this thing feels like a rocketship to me. And 22.9mpg average for my last 400 miles!

At the State Park. My friend just bought a camper this year so after a lifetime of tent camping I am experiencing the whole camper life. I'm pumped about it since it's less work and leaves more time to fish. But now we both have to drive trucks.

Yeah the popular option on new MTBs is 1x11, 1x10. The most I've seen is 2x systems for quality bikes; there are still 3x8s out there but most on the big box stores or road/commuter bikes. I think the change made a huge difference in how you ride; not having to change crank gears/only having 1 shifter to think about is awesome

 

My commute is steep rural roads. I pretty much climb over two small mountains and am consistently between 22 and 24 MPG. I can go a different way that's mostly flat 50 MPH highway but I hate that road so I rarely go that way. When I do, though, I've gotten as much as 27 MPG.

Actual 70 MPH highway seems to be around 24, but I haven't done that much so tough to say for sure.

 

Knowing what you're trying to do; the easiest best way would be to design a skirt that will make up the 1" difference the spacer adds instead of remaking the entire piece. If you print the entire piece it needs to be flexible enough that you could pull it off and on without it breaking; currently for most basic 3d printers they don't have the materials to use to get that. If you just do the skirt piece then it would only have to be 3 sided, no top, no bottom, no/minimal supports; then you could use double sided tape and tape it to the inside of the cover so it extends the 1" down. Hardest part would probably be matching the interior colors

 

Would the material that it is made of be paintable?!

If it is, than nothing a rattler can can't fix... I think. Just spray paint both pcs!

Schweet! Yeah, I'd probably just take both pcs, stick them together and paint them together. It'd just be plain black, all around, nothing fancy.

 

The 5.3 on the gms is also super responsive to a cheap tune or cam swap. Its very easy to get those ls family motors to over 500 hp with just a little modification...

 

Knowing my luck I'd blow it up

 

The cool thing about it is the cam and tune needed to bump it up so mild theirs a tone of wiggle room gm over engineered the intake and heads of those motors but use a tiny cam in it for fuel economy
