Yes--this is the wheel, gas pedal, and floor boards--under load

Some configurations do not have it.

Sounds like it still had not been corrected.

It is noticed at RPM 2k or so. It is not the speed of the truck. I feel it in all gears. Very annoying. This truck is beginning to be the biggest piece of shit I have ever bought.

Agreed. The 16 was the worst year.

I finally did a manual shift and it starts exactly 2000 rpm and quits at 2300'ish rpm in all gears. But I still need to narrow this down. I am beginning wonder if it is the transmission. It is just a raspy harshness that I mainly feel in the steering wheel. Not a shaking. I will get this figured out..... it ain't gonna beat me.

Some think it's the engine cycling between otto and atkinson. No fix identified. The 2.7 does not do this. The 3.5 manual and auto both do this so I don't think its the trans.

Did I just read a whole lot of BS about this and Toyota says normal. Also the "rubble strip" feeling when coming to a stop. I feel that too. I have had this one week and I hate this truck.

Normal for now on the vibes--the rubble strip vibe has a fix-I think. Check out the leaf springs / shims.

Wow--sorry to hear that. Toy is offering 1000-1500 rebate on these around the US.

You might ask about Toyota's buy-back program. Might save you a few K.

Was there a bad cross wind?

This is my 4th Taco and all of the ones before this one, howled on the driver's side. But it was only when there was a terrible crosswind and me driving 70+ mph. Otherwise it never did it. That's no good at 30-60mph.

I totaled my truck so I cannot get mine back. I don't know any other truck brand I would trust.

Nope it's not the cross wind whistle. I had that in my '14 and fixed it with new seals. This howl in my new '18 is something else entirely.

My 16 4R did this and they replaced the rear diff and it corrected the issue.

If you have the rumble you MUST get the ECGS bushing install in the driver CV. It fixed mine hands down

Totally agree. Toy should buy-back the truck. Sound deadener won't work. Too loud.

Well update on vibrate/buzzy harshness. I did an in neutral test of the rpms. With no load it starts at 3000rpm instead of 2000rpm. It really feels like it is the exhaust because of the sheet metal buzzy feeling. I am going to get someone to help me and I am going to try and touch a big screwdriver to it and see if I feel the buzz on the exhaust.

At least I can show the dealer without driving it.

Are you talking about the original floor board buzz from this thread or the 55-60mph diff howl?

The original post of this thread. The buzz you get in the steering wheel which is mostly where i feel it.
