Anyone know where to get 2 black Tacoma's jand 1 Vg black matte emblems? Everywhere I look you have to buy a package and get a bunch of emblems that are not needed for a 2018.

Sounds good. But you do know that the OEM badges are plastic too, right?

Good point. I was trying to keep the emblems as original as possible and just have them black. I did not fully think that through.

Plasti dip will do the trick then. Just for the record, I have the badges that I posted and they are the same style dimensions as OEMA402407E-0C4A-4C6E-9194-DCCFEF2B2731.jpg824E2EB0-55DB-40B1-A2AD-B9C494B16D09.jpg

That looks good. Are you happy with them or would you of rather plasti dipped? I also like I can just peel it off if I do not like it or sell it.

Very happy with them. But in the long run, plasti dip will be cheaper and faster (probably) to achieve the same look

I spray painted my chrome Matt black with a clear coat sealant. Looks phenomenal and will not chip. $10.

I bought the SE Toyota Blackout Overlay Kit for $135 and then parted out the pieces I didn’t need. I still ended up with more than I wanted to in the Taco and V6 badges but the overlay kit is a breeze and I didn’t want to take off the chrome and reinstall. I went the easy yet no so cheap route.

Makes sense. I was trying not to buy all the excess stuff.

Woth what I have sold so far I have about $75 in what I needed and that’s worth it to me to save the hassle. Besides, if I ever sell it to some chrome crazed person I can take them off and let that bling shine on and make them really happy!

I did @rrentrop decals to the center and left the chrome showing around the edge to make the black pop more.
