Hey does anyone know how to remove a scuff like this? Tried buffing it out with a microfiber and some interior detailer but it is still visible. Doesn’t appear to be deep just on the surface. Any recommendations to removing these scuffs? Thank ya

I had a couple of those. I used heat gun on low and started way back. You don't want to get panel too hot or ot with deform or turn glossy. Never hold it in one spot. Once it started to work you will see the white start to go away. I didn't want to do too much but it almost disappeared. After some 303 only I can see it.

Is there another method besides a heat gun? I don’t have access to a heat gun at the moment. The scuff appears to only have that white fraying plastic on the very surface. No gouge in the plastic as far as I can see.

That's what mine was. Just fraying. Have a hair dryer? Might do it?

I might give it a try with a hair dryer. I work in aerospace and use a heat gun to knock off standoffs bonded onto composite but never to do something like this. This does not cause any discoloration/ spots where heat was applied compared to the rest of the door panel? Also why is it still visible to you is there a slight mark left in the plastic still? Even with removing all the white plastic residue?

The fraying is actually the plastic that scraped off. Since it's like hair fibers it melts very easy and turns black before the panel gets to hot. It will still be a little mark if you look for it but not very noticable. I didn't want to do any more and take a chance of melting anything else.
