3 Mods done to the Taco. All items will be listed in links except for the seat spacers which a link will be provided.

    1. I have had numerous cell phone holders of which some were ok others not. I think I found the answer to all my cell device problems. It's the https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PC29ETE. This holder hasn't budged and fits perfectly in the cd drive. I don't really use my CD drive all that much so it was a perfect fit. You do need to be careful of the install as to not over tighten the knob, but it's a great fit.

    2. I have an S6 Active Samsung and it can sometimes hog a lot of battery power even being charged on the standard charge port in the truck. I needed a charger that provided proper and full charge and was small. This is what I found and purchased. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0795DJXNH. The normal charge on the standard port was slow and I mean very slow. My commute to work is an hr and if the battery was let's say 50% at the beginning of the drive I would only see about 65% when arriving. This charger was able to charge my phone at 3% up to 45% by the end of the drive. It has 2 ports and I only used one so far.

    3. This mod was one that I was a bit hesitant to purchase but what the heck. It's the https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/fs-aluminum-seat-spacers-for-seat-mod.563843.
I installed the driver only and took it for a spin. I found that it did raise the seat and made the drive a bit more comfortable. After about the 20 mins I forgot it was even there and became comfortable with the hight. The shipment came fast and packaged well. The bolts had plastic protectors on the threads and were good, not cheapo bolts. Took about 10 mins to install super fast and great cheap upgrade.20180823_173619.jpg 20180823_173625.jpg 20180823_173651.jpg 20180823_173719.jpg 20180823_173733.jpg 20180819_115354.jpg 20180819_115413.jpg 20180819_115837.jpg

Toyota dealership tried to charge me $100 to update my software on my 2014 Entune Navigation system. Declined, came home and researched. Found out Toyota offers the software update for free and can be done within 30 minutes with a USB.

I also took this chance to put a photo on my usb for Start Up and Shut Down Image for my system!

Now I have a upgraded navigation system, and this dope logo on startup and shutdown! TRD.jpg

    EDIT: Adding HOW TO links
This is the link to download and update software. It has all the information you need to do it. Very very simple to follow.
    https://securedp.toyota.com/download-app/getUpdates

The youtube link below shows you how to do the imaging. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND reading the top comment by kjekk. His description will make sure you only have to try this once, and not run back and forth between truck and computer trying to get the right image size, USB format, image extension, file naming convention, etc...

    Basically:
    1) Image has to end in (.JPG) case sensitive.
    2) Image works best at size 885x530. (You can customize your image Google search to only show images that fit this size)
    3) My USB is formatted to FAT32 or MS-DOS (FAT) for Macs. This works.
    4) The folder names that hold the image(s) on your USB must be named exactly as follows (case sensitive):

    a) DisplayOffImage
    b) StartupImage

Imma through a monkey wrench in here real quick.

What if you did the black out hood but with the stripes on top of it and fading out as it gets closer to the windshield.

I'm invisioning this with the stripes following the taper of the blackout but with a thin black border all the way around.

I like your idea. Also, if OP really wants the strips on the sides, I like this style here: 6.jpg

I feel your pain. I hit mine with WD-40 every oil change.

I've been using one of those for the last 3-4 oil changes on my 4 banger. Makes cracking it free so much easier.
...the filter is underneath the engine on the passengers side. You 4.0 people dont know how hard it can get to remove.
