I may have tweaked a few things...
I need some opinions: I’m currently sitting on 3rd gen OR shocks/coils and not loving how it feels on the road. I think it’s time to embrace the 95% commuter usage of this truck and swap for Sport shocks (yes the Hitachi's many people hate).

Would it be a mistake to pair the Sport shocks with my OR coils?

It would be easier to swap the coilovers but i’m wondering if the linear Sport coils would be too stiff for my 2nd gen 2.7L AC?

Be on the Lookout for a Silver 1987 4Runner SR5. It's lifted and rolling on 33" tires. It was stolen from Santa Clara last night near the intersection of Lochinvar and Bing. The vehicle plate is RUIRIE2. If you see it, call the Santa Clara Police Department.

I have no connection to the owner. I'm only cross posting because it's a 4Runner and if someone found it, that would be awesome.

Most of this came from a Nextdoor posting.

Since I bought the truck i’ve been chasing a ‘wobbling’ kind of feeling, like the cab shaking side to side more than normal (going over curbs/speed bumps one side before the other would rock the truck like crazy!). Shocks, coils, camper shell, front end weight, heavy slider steps, and finally the most notable change was AALs. The whole time I was focused on the front end and it seems the back end was more of the issue.

Moving forward from here, I threw ~100lbs in the bed and it feels more stable than it’s ever been, but not as tight as I would like it. I think i’ve worked out anything caused by cheap or insufficient parts. I don’t think there is a better option for the leafs that doesn’t give more lift, maybe some heavy duty leafs but I don’t feel like I need that.

Well shit. You're not going to believe this, but I'm actually going to install mine this weekend. I think they are adequately dry aged now.

But I was trying to recall the install procedure I think was in that thread.

    I'm guessing:
    1. start with the bottom bed bolts, secure.
    2. check the verticals for squareness with bedsides
    3. if not square, ratchet strap to pull bed together till flush with brackets
    4. Secure top bolts on brackets
    5. Remove taillights
    6. Mark and drill holes for remaining 3 bolt holes through vertical stiffener.
    7. Bolt the last three.

    Yes?
